This is a special month dedicated to all women of the world. Unfortunately it comes when covid 19 has unquestionably transformed our ways of living, social distancing, sanitizing and wearing of masks was initially a torture to all but has now become part of daily routine.
Women stand at the front line of Covid 19 crises as health care workers, care givers, innovators, community organizers and as some of the most exemplary and effective national leaders in combating the pandemic. Today there's more acceptance, however before that women bring different experience, states like Denmark, Ethiopia, Finland and Slovakia are remarkably succeeding in stemming the tide of the Covid 19 and are led by women.
Across the world, women are facing increased domestic violence l, unpaid care duties, unemployment and poverty despite their efforts in bringing peace and poverty there is still disproportionate and inadequate representation of women in national and global Covid 19 policy spaces.
Even during these trying times, as women we should remain prayerful and graced with positivity. We find many stories about quarantine in the Bible when people were told by God to stay safe at home during plague and disease. Isaiah 26 verse 20-21 "Go my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you, hide yourselves for a little while until this wrath has passed by. See the Lord is coming out of His dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed on it. The earth will conceal its slain no longer".
Women, I say to you enough! Enough at looking at shortcomings through a magnifying glass and never giving yourself pat on the back.
Men we love you too, continue doing your God giving responsibilities.
A happy and blessed women's month.
