Creativity Love

In the beginning, there was and always will be Music!!!

South African music creativity had displayed itself on the global shores once again, as we experienced last year when Black Coffee with his musical prowess, dazzled the world by grabbing his first Grammy Award!

The creative trio from the belly of our nation: Nomcebo Zikode, Wouter Kellerman, and Zakes Bantwini let their fingers kiss the coveted Grammy Award on 05 February 2023, courtesy of their song Bayethe! Congratulations are on a silver platter folks!!!

What's Love Got to do with it? It's got everything to do with life.Life breathes into Love Power that brings Life to let Love live! Love is Power..this is the hour.   Let me pick just 4 for LOVE: Patient, Kind, Unselfish, and Eternal. I'm borrowing from an ancient African love story as narrated on globalvoices.org...Here goes:

"Osiris was the King god of Egypt and Isis his Queen. Set, his brother, murdered Osiris to take over the kingdom. Isis finds and restores Osiris' body, resurrecting him and they conceive their son Horus. The author writes that the story is rich in lessons for the African continent."This is an African story that teaches us about the importance of one's commitment to the person one is purposed to love.

It's all about Love being consumed by the 4, mentioned above! February 14th just passed, and we observed the same, lame narrative on the commercially glorified Love Lane inspired by Saint Valentine. Kudos to him for his contribution and for laying down his life for the cause.

However, this time I wished we could go back to the African roots of the Love story and explore the creativity of me and as children of Afrika. As Africans, we are creative people who can make something great from simple things. You must dig deep within yourself to find that fountain of flowing creative juices and dazzle your darling with something extraordinary, this Love Month.

Also, include your immediate as well as extended family in this Love experience. Remember that the African way of expressing love is genuine, exhibiting patience, kindness, unselfishness, and eternity!

Creatively speaking, as I retreat with pen in hand, I'd like to reflect on us getting back to our creativity in business, various workplaces, and educational and academic institutions. Creativity is calling from all corners amid our country being entangled in this devastating load-shedding, ravaging our economic creativity. However, we have to take leave from our creativity reserves and teach our learners how to devise and implement creative ways of sourcing energy.

This is a huge opportunity for us as black African innovators to delve into spaces of even learning how to manufacture solar panels here in South Africa instead of importing these on-demand resources. In that way, we'll show our creative way of launching ourselves into the future!Poise-to-ponder: We have been wonderfully and fearfully created to be creative beings with endless abilities of creativity. Long live Creativity!
